What this app is
Soul Bound is a habit tracker. You set daily quests, complete them, and a
character levels up as you go. This policy explains what we store, why,
and who else sees it.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address, and — if you use Sign in with Apple — the anonymous identifier Apple gives us. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash and cannot be read by us.
- Time zone. So your day rolls over at 4am where you are, rather than somewhere else.
- Progress. Your character, quests, streak, items, achievements and leaderboard standing.
- Health and fitness. If you use the nutrition planner: sex, age, height, weight, target weight, activity level and goal, plus any meals you log. If you use the workout tracker: the exercises, sets, reps and weights you record.
- Photos. If you scan a meal, the photo you take or choose.
- Purchases. Which gem bundle you bought and Apple's transaction identifier. We never see your card details — Apple handles payment and does not share them with us.
Who else sees it
- OpenAI. Meal photos, meal descriptions and quest descriptions are sent to OpenAI to generate nutrition estimates and quest suggestions. They process it to answer the request and may retain it briefly for abuse monitoring. Do not photograph anything you would not want sent to a third party.
- Apple. Handles all payments and verifies purchases.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the database running this app.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do
not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Other players
The leaderboard shows your character's name, level and streak to other
players. Your email address is never shown. Choose a character name you
are comfortable being public.
Deleting your data
Settings has a Delete Account button. It erases your account, character,
quests, progress and logged data. It cannot be undone. Purchase records
may be kept where tax or accounting law requires it.
Children
Soul Bound is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email
us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above changes and the new
version appears here.
